Something that we know for sure is that Google is giving us a customization option called “Flavors”. You can basically take a watch face of your liking and customize it to what you want it to be. 

Imagine that you have a blue attire or a pink outfit and you want your smartwatch to go with it. All you would have to do is to use Flavors so that you could set the color theme of your watch face to make it go with your outfit. Imagine all the artistic possibilities that you can achieve, creating the most beautiful watch face you’ve ever seen! 

The Possibility of Fitbit for Everyone

For anyone who doesn’t know, a couple of years ago Google ended up buying Fitbit. Many people believe that this was the cause of Fitbit’s downfall. However, Google could still make pretty smart choices if it wishes to keep Fitbit afloat. 

Fitbit is now known as Google Fitbit and we really anticipate that one day Google would finally integrate Fitbit into its own WearOS. Imagine the possibilities where you wouldn’t have to buy a separate Fitbit only because you already get everything in your smartwatch. 

With the WearOS 5 release soon, we have our expectations set sky-high as we are waiting to see whether or not Google incorporates Fitbit into WearOS 5 or not. 

Added Options in Quick Settings

Though WearOS already has a few quick settings that make life easier for us, we still expect to see more from it. 

For instance, the Galaxy Watch which features Samsung’s own One UI has customizable quick settings, meaning you can add and remove settings at your own convenience. This is something that isn’t consistently available in all smartwatches that feature WearOS. 

Also, something that we really wish Google would do is to make quick settings accessible from wherever you are on the watch, not only just from the home screen. 

Something Like the Double Tap for Android Smartwatches

Apple recently introduced the “double tap” feature which allows you to use your smartwatch by just tapping your index finger and your thumb together, twice, to carry out the most actions. All this without having to touch your watch’s display! 

We are expecting something of the same sort for Android smartwatches as well, through the integration of WatchOS 5. Now all we need is for Google to act upon it so that our smartwatch experience can be as seamless and convenient as well! If we do get this feature, we can make important calls through just one gesture. 

The Possible Integration of Gemini

Anyone who uses an Android (preferably Android 14) knows how Google Assistant is now being replaced with Google Gemini, that’s powered by Artificial Intelligence. 

If we get the same integrated Gemini into our smartwatches, this would take Android smartwatches a lot further than where they are right now! You could ask your watch for miscellaneous information; you could even command it to do tasks for you or you could also get emails and text messages crafted for you!

Imagine if we actually got all these features in our smartwatches with WearOS 5, how cool would it be? Now we can only wait for a couple of months to see how it actually pans out!
